Martinet Bru 1993
The first of the two years of a big drought in Priorat.
1993 was the first of two years of a big drought in Priorat. The vines grew normally due to water reserves they accomulated in autumn, but in summer... high temperatures and the absence of rain, caused a very important water stress leading the plant to a premature fall of leaves. In many occasions, it was irreversible: quality and quantity of production were reduced.
In Mas Martinet we compensated the drought with irrigation of support, resulting in a high quality vintage. The vines kept their green leaves until November.
